Hello from Waldport/Westport KOA

There is only one word that can describe yesterdays drive down the first 155 miles of Oregon's coastal  highway 101 and that is SPECTACULAR!!!!

We stopped at a number of turnouts but couldn't stop at them all. The views were breath taking!

The bridge over the Columbia River from Washington to Oregon was quite the bridge! A big span, a long causeway and another span at the top of a steep hill!

We are a little south of Newport and directly north of the bridge to Waldport at the first KOA we have stayed at. It is a beautiful campground superbly kept. We managed to get a spot backing on the inlet and finangled a second night so we are spending today as a down day. No driving or sightseeing.

Tomorrow we continue south with a stop at The Sea Caves and the Oregon Dunes. Then in to California.

Until next time

LOL Eddie & Merrilyn
