Hello From Teslin

Well we are officially half way through our trip as today is day 51!

We decided not to go to Haines and  Skagway because we have decided to take highway 99 the Sea to Sky highway down to the coast of BC and take the ferry to Nanimo. We will then drive to Victoria and take the ferry from Victoria to Port Angeles Washington.

We are still having a blast inspite of the drive yesterday. As soon as we hit the Canadian boarder the road became the worst stretch we have been on in all 11,000 kms! The problem is that the road was built on volcanic ash. When the permafrost melts the ground liquifies and creates heaves. They are working on ways to introduce cold air to the road bed so the permafrost won't melt.
