We had a really nice day in Dawson City today. We slept in until almost 8:30!! We drove the 96k loop around Upper Bonanza Creek through King Solomon Dome. Awesome scenery! Stopped and panned for gold on the way. I got eight small flakes. We then took the ferry across the Yukon at the north end of town and walked along the edge of the river to the Paddelwheel Graveyard to see the paddlewheels that were purpously run aground when the road to Dawson was finished and the paddlewheelers were not needed any more. Came back to the site, after buying gold pans, because it had started to pour. Had dinner and then went out to Claim 6 where you can pan for free. Didn't get anything but we had fun.

Tomorrow we are off to Chicken Alaska via The Top of the World Highway. We have heard it is in pretty good shape so hopefully we won't have any problems.

Love Eddie & Merrilyn
